Joining GSIC Powered by Microsoft

Machina Sports is now a member of GSIC, the Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft. GSIC connects startup founders with sports operators, broadcasters, and tech companies across 40+ countries.

What GSIC provides: direct connections to sports organizations running innovation programs, visibility into what technologies are actually getting deployed (vs. what vendors pitch), and participation in workshops on specific sports tech challenges (commentary automation, live streaming optimization, fan data strategies).

Why Membership Matters

Sports organizations move slowly on technology. GSIC has cut deals with 200+ teams and leagues to participate in the network. When we present our SDK to members, they're already pre-disposed to evaluate new tools. Pitch-to-pilot timelines compress from 4-5 months to 6-8 weeks.

Microsoft's infrastructure helps too. We get discounts on Azure credits. When teams want to deploy Machina on Microsoft infrastructure instead of AWS, there's a direct relationship to optimize the stack.

What We're Focusing On

GSIC members see three consistent problems across their organizations:

  1. Real-time commentary at scale for smaller leagues without dedicated broadcast teams
  2. Fan data activation without hiring a full analytics department
  3. Multilingual content when expanding to new markets

We're building specific templates for each use case so organizations can deploy solutions immediately.

The Practical Effect

If you're a broadcaster, league, or sportsbook considering Machina, GSIC membership means:

  • Faster introductions: Fewer cold calls, more warm handshakes
  • Proven playbooks: You can see how similar organizations deployed our SDK
  • Regional support: GSIC offices in Madrid and Singapore mean local teams for implementation
